International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators

The Vancouver Maritime Arbitrators Association, (VMAA), is delighted to invite you to the International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators, ICMA XVIII, to be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver British Columbia, Canada, May 13 -- 18, 2012.

The maritime industry continues to lead the world in international alternate dispute resolution through arbitration. Since 1972 ICMA has provided a forum for arbitrators, national maritime arbitration associations, marine insurers, ship owners, charterers, cargo interests and the legal community from around the world to come together to exchange views and developments. After 21 years ICMA returns to Vancouver in 2012.

Our hope is to make ICMA XVIII as relevant substantively and as enjoyable socially as possible. We invite you to join the ICMA Forum and post your topic suggestions, which will be monitored by the Program Committee while the Local Organizing Committee will be pleased to take into account your suggestions for the social calendar.

The Topics and Agenda committee has an informative and exciting Congress Programme well under way. This site will be continually updated so do check back regularly.
